The purpose of Kindergarten science is to help kids start to explore the world around them as they begin to make observations and predictions. Children can do this with simple things like slime and volcano projects or more formal experiments looking at oxidation of apple slices. The important thing is that they begin to understand the scientific method including following a procedure, making a hypotheses, designing a test, recording data, and seeing what conclusions they can draw from the outcome.
