Print the free pages, there are 5 pages altogether, which includes pictures of a flower, butterfly, bird, watering can and a hose pipe. Grab a die and your paint dabbers and you are all set! TIP: if you do not have paint dabbers, use pompoms attached to clothespins/pegs, or corks, dipped into paint. If you are not afraid of the mess, even fingers will do!

Let the child choose a Spring garden page to start off with. Then roll the die. See which number it lands on and find that number in the rubric at the bottom of the page. This tells you which color dabber to use. (Great opportunity to practice number recognition.)

Spring Worksheets for Kindergartners

Now find the dots with the same color and dab it. (Good for color recognition and hand-eye coordination skills.)  Keep on rolling and dabbing until you have filled all the dots. Let the pages dry and then finish off your picture by coloring it.

Turn the finished pages into a bonus color matching and fine motor activity! Use the pages together with pompoms- or playdough balls, of the same colors. Roll the die again, but this time place the correct color pompom/playdough on the dot. Fill all the dots with pompoms/playdough. TIP: laminate your finished pages to make it more durable to be used in this activity.
