Now print the Pumpkin Counting Printable in color OR in black and white to save on printer ink costs. I suggest laminating if you use them in color. Not only does it make them durable, but it makes them reusable. Cut cards apart each page into 2 counting mats and you are ready to play and learn.

If you are using the color counting mats I suggest setting them out with a dry erase marker and pumpkin candy corn, although any manipulative would work. Go through the cards one at a time. Count out the number of pumpkins on the card and “plant” them in the field. The use the dry erase marker to trace the number. Repeat with all the cards.
HINT: If you can’t find, or don’t want to use, the pumpkin candy there are many other pumpkin counters you can use. Try using pumpkin mini erasers, unifex cubes, or small orange balls of playdough.

Pumpkin Counting
If you want to use the black and white version, I suggest children color the fall pumpkin coloring pages. They can either draw on pumpkins with crayons, markers, or colored pencils or use the pumpkin candy corn as a hands on counting manipulative.
