Next in the Alphabet Handprint Art Series is the letter C. This week we are sharing a C is for Carrot handprint art ! This craft is great for kindergartners as they learn the letter C. Don’t forget to print the free Letter C Worksheets to go along with it for more fun letter practice!
C is for Carrot
This craft uses jut a few colors of paint and supplies to make a super cute carrot handprint. The kids think it’s a lot of fun to see how their handprint can look like a carrot! For this craft, we will make a green handprint to make the top of the carrot, and then paint the rest of it with orange paint to make the “body” of the carrot.
Materials:
- Letter “C” is for Carrot printable
- green paint
- orange paint
- paint brush
First, print the printable to go along with this craft. We like to practice the letter on the first page before making our handprint, and we do the next page while the handprint is drying.
To make the carrot, we just need some green and orange paint. The handprint itself will be the carrot’s leaves. First, paint the hand green using a paintbrush.
Press the hand onto the paper. Be sure to make the handprint near the top to save room for the rest of the carrot.
Now it’s time to paint the rest of the carrot. Dip the paintbrush into the orange paint and make a triangle shape under the green handprint. Start from the handprint and go towards the bottom of the paper to make a long triangle-like shape. Now the carrot is complete!
