Simply print and laminate the 11 trees and the sheets of colorful shape leaves. Cut the leaves apart on the dotted lines.  Store in a large ziplock bag for a fall math center or to reuse this activity at home.

HINT:  There is one black and white leaf for kids to color green or any other fall color they like. If you print one set of leaves there will be 4 set of leaves per tree. If you want more, print 2 sets.

Have the kids spread out the trees on a table. Each table lists the shape leaves that should be on that particular tree. Students will then sort the fall colored leaves on the various trees. This fall shapes activity is such a fun way for kids to practice sorting and identifying the major 11 shapes including : rectangle, circle, square, triangle, heart, star, diamond, trapezoid, pentagon, and octagon.
