OR, your kiddos will enjoy coloring the DIY version themselves, adding creativity to their learning too. (Color the puppets before cutting and assembling are done by an adult.) This makes a great activity to add to your farm unit when farm animals are discussed- the color of the animals, their diet, habitat, use and so on.

  • Sing or say the Old MacDonald rhyme together, or any other farm animal rhyme you know. Show each animal when it comes to that part of the rhyme.
  • Have a puppet show with the finger puppets.
  • Simply play out a scene on the farm. Perhaps you have a farm-themed sensory bin you could use. Insert a cork in place of the fingers, to make the puppets movable inside the sensory bin.
