G is for Grapes
This craft uses just a few colors of paint and supplies to make the a cute bunch of grapes. It’s always a lot of fun to for the kids to see how their handprint can turn into something else. For this craft, we make a purple handprint for the bunch of grapes, and then add thumbprints with purple for texture, and finishing with a green thumbprint leaf. It’s a simple and hands-on way to learn about the letter G!
Materials:
- Letter “G” is for Grapes printable
- purple paint
- green paint
- paint brush
- wipes to clean hands
First, print the printable to go along with this craft. We like to practice the letter on the first page before making our handprint, and we do the next page while the handprint is drying.
Start by making a purple handprint for the grapes. Paint the entire palm and fingers with purple paint.
Press the hand onto the the center of the paper to make the bunch of grapes, keeping the fingers and thumb together.
Rinse hands with water or wipe clean. Now dip the thumb into purple paint and make purple thumbprints over the purple handprint. This makes more individual grapes. Now it’s time to add the green leaf! Press the thumb into green paint and make a thumbprint on top of the grapes. Now your grapes are complete!
