ALPHABET STRIPS

These fun and cheerful alphabet strips are a wonderful handy visual alphabet reference for your students. Having it close by, especially when working on their handwriting and letter formation, they can have a quick glance before proceeding. They are also great for children who are learning the order of the letters of the alphabet. These desk alphabet strips include both upper and lowercase letters, alphabet picture with the same beginning sound, left and right hand reference, and are a free printable name plate for preschool, pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade students.

With the two different strip templates to choose from, this resource is also great for those in grades 1 and 2 who are still working on perfecting their letter formation,  handwriting skills, and remember the sounds letters make as they work on phonemic awareness. Once laminated, these desk alphabet strips can easily be attached to your students desk, or placed in a handy, easy to reach spot that they can grab it from when they need to refer to it.

Free Printable Alphabet Strips

There are three sets of strips per page, with the first page containing both the uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet as well as a picture that begins with the letter, which is great for learning and practicing beginning sounds. There is also a spot for children to write their name. If these strips are laminated, children can practice writing their name in this spot with a dry erase marker, wipe it off and repeat. The letters of the alphabet on this first page are bold print which will help with letter recognition. Also on this strip is a left hand and a right hand to help children learn their left and right hands.

The second set of strips also contains three strips on the page.  The activities are all the same, except the for writing of the letters of the alphabet. On these strips, the letters are written in dot form in lines to show children how the letters are to look when they write them.

Students could keep a copy of both strips on their desks, or held together with a binder ring or they could just use the one strip that is most relevant to their learning ability.
