Turkey Learning Activities

Turkey Color Matching Printable

This free printable turkey color matching printable makes it fun for kids to practice sorting colors. Color matching and fine motor skills are two skills that kindergartners need for school. Color matching involves visual perception that is needed in almost all subjects, and so are fine motor skills. Make practicing these skills fun with printable sheets like these cute turkey ones.

Print the download below and  laminate it to make it durable and reusable. Now set out small items like mini pompoms, buttons, beads etc. You will need colors blue, purple, yellow, green, pink, black, orange and red since that is the colors the turkeys have on their tummies to match. Finally, set out plastic tweezers or tongs for picking up the items (which is great for strengthening the fine motor muscles).

This is a great activity as a finger gym center.

Let the child fill the circles with the correct color according to the color of the specific turkey. Please note that small items like these have to be use with caution since it can land in mouths, ears and noses, so not recommended for young children. You can however, enlarge the printable and use larger items with them.

Have fun color matching and fine motor practicing with these cute turkeys!
