Sorting letters and numbers
To prepare
- Print in color or black and white

To play
- Students will cut out the squares and perhaps color them in black or any other color.
- They will identify whether it’s a letter or a number.
- They will then paste to sort it accordingly onto the printable.
- I usually check their work to be sure they are doing this correctly.
- This fun activity can be repeated for practice! I hope you kids benefit from and enjoy using this activity!
Kindergarten summer math
You can also laminate the mats and place them inside a binder for kids to do repeatedly.
Use these cards to help kids identify letters and numbers and fine motor skills skills.
This printable can be used after introducing the difference between numbers and letters and having kids identify them on the mat.
Some children do mistake numbers for letters and vice versa. This is a great way to reinforce these skills. This printable is also perfect for a special needs classroom.
I like to make sure kids can identify letters and numbers prior to completing this task to make sure they are capable of doing it.
I’ve also included an empty template where you can add your own letters and numbers (perhaps ones that you are working on?) to the printable.
This game can also be played as a group, It’ll be even more enjoyable to have the competition game played between groups.
