We added a touch of color for fun, but didn’t go crazy to save on color ink. I suggest printing on cardstock or laminating for durability. If you laminate them the activity is reusable with a dry erase marker!! This makes it perfect for a preschool or kindergarten 4th of July theme.

Now cut the CVC Word strips apart – there are 3 strips per page covering short a, short e, short i, short o, and short u CVC words. Then cut out the one page of red, white, and blue stars.

HINT: There are only as many stars as needed to complete the activity to save on ink and time cutting the stars out.
