Cursive Writing Practice Sheets A-Z
Cursive has become less popular. Some schools are not teaching cursive at all anymore and when they are, most don’t focus on it too much. This is unfortunate. Cursive is not only an artistic writing form, but everyone should not only be able to read it but write it as well. Most historical documents are only available if you can read cursive! Some schools are even teaching cursive in Kindergarten before they begin writing in print as their is literature out there that it helps children make connections between right and left brain. These cursive writing practice sheets a-z are a great way for kindergartners, grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, and grade 4 students to practice writing cursive.
This free cursive writing practice sheets a-z set focuses on each letter individually. It is important for children to learn each letter separately and then be able to put them together, just as when teaching printed letters.

Cursive Handwriting Practice
Each page has the cursive letter, upper and lower, in bubble cursive font. This is a place where children could color it in, fill it in with a pattern or trace it.
The next section has the upper and lowercase cursive letter on a writing line. The letters are written in dotted lines so that children can trace it.
The last section has blank writing lines. This is the space where children can write the letters on their own. They can even write a sentence if they wish.

I also included blank writing pages. This is so that children can continue practicing as much as they wish. You could give them sentences to write that includes the letter or it can be just for more space to write the letters repeatedly.
You don’t need very many supplies to set up this activity, but there is versatility also.
Once the set is printed, you can laminate them or put into a dry erase pocket if you wish. This will keep the activity neat and you will be able to use it over and over. This way you can also use dry erase or wet erase markers when it is laminated.
If you choose not to laminate, you can use markers, crayons or even water color paints if you wish.
