- Print out the mats. You will want to laminate them for durability.
- Introduce your child to the first one. Then ask her what number is shown. Have her count to that number. Then introduce her to the number in Spanish.
- The mat contains a few different activities to keep your child busy while reinforcing the number lesson. Your child can use play dough to create the number and the number word in Spanish. Each mat has a ten frame and an ice create cone. Your child will roll play dough in a ball or whatever shape she desires to place on the ten frame to indicate the number. Then your child will create a topping or sprinkles to match the number on the mat to place on the ice cream cone. As your child works her way though the mats she will be introduced to numbers 1-10 in Spanish. While your child completes the ten frame have her count in Spanish to reinforce the lesson.
